Terms and Conditions

These Terms explain the rules for creating a DevProofs account, building and sharing CVs, using Pro features, and keeping the platform safe for everyone.

Effective: 27 September 2026 Governed by Romanian law

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of DevProofs, including devproofs.com, its dashboard, CV builder, portfolio tools, tokenized CV previews, Pro features, downloads and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing the Service, creating an account, using a CV template, exporting content, sharing a preview link, or purchasing a Pro plan, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. About DevProofs

DevProofs is a CV, professional profile and portfolio platform that allows users to build and manage professional information, including work experience, education, skills, projects, certifications and shareable CV materials.

The Service may provide tokenized profile previews, QR codes, CV templates, downloads such as PDF or image files, LinkedIn OAuth sign-in, and free or paid features. Features may change over time.

The operator of the Service is:

Pelea Raul-Daniel
Individual operator and DevProofs founder
Principala, Tureni, Cluj, 407560, Romania
Support and legal contact: [email protected]

3. Accounts, verification and security

3.1 Account requirement

You must have an account to access the dashboard, build or export a CV, share a tokenized preview, use profile tools, access Pro features, or use other authenticated parts of DevProofs. Visitors without an account may only view publicly available landing pages and information pages.

3.2 Registration methods and verification

You may register through traditional email/password registration or LinkedIn OAuth, where available. Email/password accounts must verify their email address before accessing the platform. LinkedIn OAuth accounts may be treated as verified when the LinkedIn authentication process completes successfully.

3.3 Multiple accounts

Users may have multiple verified email accounts. DevProofs does not guarantee that it can reliably identify every person or determine how many email addresses a person controls. Multiple accounts are not required to access core free features, which are intended to remain available on a permanent basis while the Service is offered.

3.4 Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate, current and lawful account and profile information.
  • Keeping your password, account credentials, QR codes and permanent tokenized preview links confidential.
  • All activities that occur through your account or shared preview links.
  • Promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access, loss of credentials, a leaked preview link, or misuse of your information.

DevProofs will never call or email you to request your password or other private credentials. If you suspect fraud or account compromise, contact [email protected].

4. Your content and licence to operate the Service

4.1 Your ownership

You retain ownership of the content you submit to DevProofs, including your CV details, profile information, projects, certificates, text, links, images, uploaded materials and other information you add after using the Service (“User Content”).

DevProofs retains all rights in the elements that existed independently of your User Content, including the website, application, dashboard, source code, platform features, templates, visual designs, text, branding, logo, domains, assets and related intellectual property.

4.2 Licence you grant to DevProofs

By using the Service, you grant DevProofs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, limited licence to host, store, reproduce, format, convert, process, display, export and transmit your User Content solely to operate, secure, maintain, improve and provide the Service.

This includes displaying your content in your dashboard, generating PDF/image exports, producing tokenized preview pages and QR codes, and making content available through approved company or recruiter access where the Service provides that feature. This licence ends when your User Content is deleted, except to the extent limited retention is required for backups, security, legal obligations, disputes, accounting or technical completion of deletion.

4.3 Your promises about User Content

You represent that you have the necessary rights, permissions and authority to submit your User Content and to grant the licence above. You are responsible for the accuracy of all information you publish, including work history, qualifications, credentials, certificates, links and project descriptions.

5. Tokenized CV previews, QR codes and sharing

DevProofs preview links are designed to be unlisted and tokenized. They are not intended for public search-engine indexing. However, they are not confidential, password-protected or access-controlled unless DevProofs explicitly provides such a feature.

  • Anyone with a tokenized link or QR code may be able to view the linked CV or profile.
  • You are responsible for deciding who receives a preview link, QR code, PDF, PNG, JPG, WebP or other export.
  • Your preview may be visible to individuals, recruiters, employers, companies or approved registered companies using DevProofs as permitted by the Service.
  • Recipients may copy, forward, download, screenshot, print, store or republish content after you share it. DevProofs is not responsible for actions taken by recipients or third parties after a link or export is shared.

Preview tokens are permanent by default and cannot currently be changed directly by users. If a token may have been leaked or you need it changed for a legitimate reason, contact the administrator. DevProofs may change a token at its discretion, including when there is a security concern.

6. Acceptable use

You may use DevProofs only for lawful professional-profile, CV, portfolio and related purposes. You must not use the Service to create, upload, post, link to, distribute or facilitate:

  • Illegal, deceptive, fraudulent, harmful or misleading content or activity.
  • Content that infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy, publicity, confidentiality or other rights.
  • Malware, phishing, spam, scraping, bots, automated abuse, unauthorized data collection or attempts to bypass security controls.
  • Pornographic, sexually explicit, hateful, harassing, violent, extremist or otherwise abusive content.
  • False credentials, fabricated certificates, false employment history, forged qualifications, impersonation or identity fraud.
  • Unsafe links, link shorteners, redirect services, prohibited domains or links intended to conceal a destination.
  • Attempts to reverse engineer, interfere with, overload, probe, exploit or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.

We may remove content, disable preview links, restrict access, suspend or permanently terminate accounts where we reasonably believe these Terms, the law, platform safety or the rights of others have been violated.

7. Pro subscription, payments and your right of withdrawal

7.1 What Pro is

DevProofs Pro is a monthly subscription to a digital service: online access, in your account, to the Pro features described on the pricing page and the upgrade page at the time you order. It is sold by Pelea Raul-Daniel (DevProofs), Principala, Tureni, Cluj, 407560, Romania, [email protected].

7.2 Price

Pro costs $9.00 / month. Final price - VAT included where applicable. No extra fees. The price is charged in USD through PayPal; if your account or card uses another currency, PayPal or your bank may apply its own conversion rate and fees. Any amount in lei (RON) shown on the site is for information only.

7.3 How you order and when the contract is concluded

  1. On the upgrade page you enter your billing details and can review the key information about the seller, price, renewal, cancellation and withdrawal.
  2. You confirm that you accept these Terms, that you ask for Pro to start immediately and that the subscription renews automatically. These boxes are never pre-ticked.
  3. You click the PayPal button, which places an order with an obligation to pay, and approve the subscription in the PayPal window. Until you approve it in PayPal you can correct your details or stop the order; nothing is charged.
  4. The contract is concluded when PayPal confirms the subscription. Pro starts straight away and you receive an order confirmation by email and on the Order confirmation page in your account, which you can save or print. We keep a record of the order and of the confirmations you gave.

The contract is concluded in English.

7.4 Billing and automatic renewal

The subscription is billed monthly in advance, on the same day of the month as your first payment, and renews automatically until you cancel it. There is no minimum term. If a renewal payment fails, PayPal will retry it for a few days; if it still fails, Pro is paused until the payment succeeds or the subscription is cancelled.

7.5 Cancelling

You can cancel at any time with the “Cancel subscription” button on the upgrade page, in your PayPal account (Settings → Automatic payments) or by emailing us. No further payments are taken and Pro stays active until the end of the month you have already paid for. After the 14-day withdrawal period (section 7.6), we do not refund the unused part of a month that has already started, unless the law requires it or the Service is not provided as agreed.

7.6 Your right of withdrawal (14 days)

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period ends 14 days after the day the contract is concluded. This right comes from Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014 and EU Directive 2011/83/EU for consumers; we give it to all customers.

To withdraw, use the “Withdraw from contract here” button on the upgrade page and confirm, or send us a clear statement by email to [email protected] or by post to Principala, Tureni, Cluj, 407560, Romania. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. It is enough to send your notice before the 14 days end. When you use the button, we confirm receipt straight away on screen and by email.

Effects of withdrawal. Because you expressly asked for Pro to start during the withdrawal period, you pay an amount proportional to what was provided until you told us you were withdrawing: one thirtieth of the monthly price for each day started. We refund the rest of what you paid without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your notice, to the same PayPal account or card you paid with, at no cost to you. Pro ends when you withdraw and the subscription will not renew.

7.7 Model withdrawal form

(Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.)

To: Pelea Raul-Daniel, Principala, Tureni, Cluj, 407560, Romania, [email protected]

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the provision of the following service: DevProofs Pro subscription.

Ordered on: ______   Name of consumer: ______   Address of consumer: ______   PayPal subscription id (if known): ______

Signature of consumer (only if this form is sent on paper): ______   Date: ______

7.8 Invoices

PayPal emails you a receipt for every payment. We issue an invoice for each payment to the billing details you gave at checkout; to get it or have it re-sent, email us.

7.9 Price and feature changes

We may change the Pro price or its features. We will tell you about a price increase at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal, by email and in your account. If you do not agree, you can cancel before it takes effect; otherwise the new price applies from that renewal. Changes that reduce the price or add features may apply straight away.

7.10 Complaints and dispute resolution

Send complaints to [email protected]. We reply within 30 days. You may also contact the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) or use an alternative dispute resolution body (SAL). The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025.

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights under Romanian, EU or other applicable law, including your rights when the Service is not provided as agreed.

8. Service availability, templates and exports

DevProofs is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise that the Service will always be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, available in every location or compatible with every device, browser, payment provider or third-party service.

We may add, remove, update, replace, pause or discontinue features, templates, export options, integrations, premium content or free content at any time. A template that is available today may later be changed or removed.

CV templates, generated documents, formatting, download tools and any automated suggestions are tools only. You must review every final CV, profile, export and link before using it for job applications, employment, education, clients or other professional purposes. DevProofs does not guarantee that a CV will be accurate, accepted by an applicant-tracking system, free of formatting issues, or suitable for a particular opportunity.

9. Intellectual property

The Service and all non-user elements of it—including the DevProofs name, logo, domain, website, dashboard, code, templates, design system, graphics, assets, text, layout and features—are owned by or licensed to DevProofs and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may use your own exported CVs and portfolios for your career, job applications, clients, personal promotion and other lawful purposes. You may not copy, resell, license, scrape, redistribute, reverse engineer, reproduce as a competing service, or exploit DevProofs templates, platform code or design assets outside the permitted use of the Service.

DevProofs branding is not intentionally displayed on standard CV exports. The absence of branding does not transfer ownership of the template or underlying design.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • DevProofs does not guarantee interviews, employment, job offers, client work, recruiter responses, career outcomes, university admission or any other result from using the Service.
  • DevProofs is not responsible for User Content, inaccurate profiles, false credentials, third-party links, project websites, recruiters, employers, companies, payment providers, LinkedIn or other external services.
  • DevProofs is not responsible for a recipient forwarding, copying, downloading, screenshotting, publishing or otherwise using content after you share a link or export.
  • DevProofs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, lost profits, lost opportunities, loss of goodwill, data loss or business interruption.
  • Our total liability related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to DevProofs in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50 if you made no payment, whichever is greater.

These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections, liability for intentional misconduct, or other non-excludable rights.

11. Suspension, termination and deletion

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion under the process described in our Privacy Policy.

DevProofs may suspend, restrict or permanently terminate access without prior notice where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, non-payment, illegal content, Terms violations, abuse, risk to other users, legal compliance or protection of the Service.

Accounts are not terminated merely for inactivity; users may retain their profiles while the Service remains available. When an account is deleted or terminated, access may end immediately. We are not required to provide an export period before deletion or termination, especially where abuse, fraud, security or legal concerns exist. Limited data may be retained where required for legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes.

12. Minimum age

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Users under 16 may use the Service only with consent from a parent or legal guardian. We cannot reliably determine age from submitted information and users may provide inaccurate information. If we learn that an account does not meet this requirement, we may restrict or remove it.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service, business practices, security requirements or laws change. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. For material changes, we may provide notice through the website, dashboard or email where appropriate. Continuing to use the Service after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms, subject to applicable law.
